Shawn
Bollig - Owner/Advanced Fitness Trainer/Lifestyle Coach
Shawn
is a Certified Pilates Instructor and Advanced Personal Trainer
with a strong emphasis on Nutrition. She loves to educate
people on the importance of wellness for not only themselves
but their families in their day to day lives, as well as helping
them develop and reach their fitness goals. She’s a
big proponent of the mind-body-spirit connection and realized
a dream when she opened Energy Center four years ago. She’s
lived in the Mount Horeb area the majority of her life and
remains an active member in the community. Whether it’s
playing on the local softball and volleyball leagues, helping
out at the Farmer’s Market or sitting on the Chamber’s
Board of Directors, Shawn is always an energetic and visible
member of the village.

Carl
Turner - Membership & Personal Training Director / Personal
Trainer
Carl
has over 14 years of experience in the health/fitness industry
as a certified personal trainer, fitness consultant, and gym
manager. He recognizes that every individual has different
fitness and wellness needs; which is why he offers customized
training techniques that suit each client’s fitness
level and personal health goals. He has experience with specific
training, including post injury rehabilitation and golf instruction
with clients of all ages. Carl’s passion for health
and fitness flows naturally into his life outside of the gym.
He enjoys golf, softball, hiking, and cross-country skiing.
He is dedicated to helping clients have a healthy, well-balanced
lifestyle.
Jayne
Fassbender - Personal Trainer / Lead Instructor
ACE
Certified Personal Trainer, Group Instructor Certified,Weight
and Lifestyle Management Certified, Pilates Mat Certified.
Jayne has been teaching group fitness classes throughout the
area for over 12 years. While at The YMCA of Dane County she
developed and implemented a 12 Week Personal Fitness Program
which helped people modify their behavior to make fitness
and well being an essential part of their lives.
Her
mother says she was born moving and she never stops. She would
love nothing better than to share that love of movement with
you!
Deb
Lange - Personal Trainer / Group X Instructor
Deb
Lange is a certified personal trainer and fitness professional
with over eight years of experience. She is an AFAA certified
personal trainer, group fitness instructor and a certified
Piyo instructor. Deb teaches a wide variety of classes ranging
from sculpt and core classes to cardio / interval classes.
Deb designs her classes to challenge all major muscle groups
using a wide variety of exercises, weights, resistance bands,
stability and medicine balls, as well as using body weight
as resistance. After taking Deb’s classes, members notice
they are stronger, more toned, and are able to work out longer
and harder. Some of the benefits her members see in their
everyday lives include; increased energy, enhanced appearance,
and an overall feeling of well being. Most importantly, they
feel motivated to continue working out and improving their
health outside of classes they take.
Rebecca
Gibbs ~ Group X Instructor
Rebecca
is a certified group aerobics instructor who has been enjoying
step aerobics and body sculpt for over 7 years. As a nursing
student, she has a strong understanding of the body and loves
helping members get their body in the best condition possible
through her high energy classes. In order to do this, Rebecca
is committed to designing classes that are accomodating to
both new and experienced members. Exercise is an important
part of her daily life. She enjoys biking, swimming and walking
with her husband and little boy. Rebecca and her family have
been active in the Mt. Horeb community for several year. She
is excited to be a part of the Energy Center team.
Katie
Gonzalez Martin ~ Yoga Instructor
Katie
is a 200 hour certified yoga teacher that is beginning her
journey as an instructor at Energy Center Fitness Club. She
found her way to teaching yoga through a thoroughly committed
personal practice, which inspired her to share the joys of
yoga with others. She teaches a style inspired by various
yoga disciplines that focus on alignment, breath and energy.
Her class is dedicated to mediation and asanas by focusing
on the subtle lines of energy, breath, and intention during
the practice and encouraging her students to explore each
pose and make it their own. Katie’s training focused
on making yoga available to every person, no matter his or
her size or physical ailments. She strongly affirms yoga is
beneficial for everyone and is enthusiastic to help people
discover their own yoga practice.
Theresa
Bollig ~ Group X / Zumba Instructor
Theresa
is Energy Center’s youngest group instructor completing
her first fitness certification in Zumba® at age 16. Theresa
loves to exercise with friends in a fun and social atmosphere.
She is a natural caring leader and as an athlete herself group
fitness is a very easy and fun part-time job while attending
Mount Horeb High School. She recently expanded her education
by completing her group fitness certification and began teaching
Energy Kick, a fun enthusiastic kickboxing class. Her interests
outside of the Energy Center are soccer, softball, her many
pets and photography.

Hatfield ~ Zumba / Zumba Toning Instructor

Tina
Erickson ~ Nutrition Councilor
Tina
Erickson is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout
and she also attended the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse.
She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics, has done
Masters’ work in Exercise Physiology (emphasis being
cardiac rehabilitation), and is a member of the American Dietetic
Association. Tina counsels for both health clubs and consumers
in their home.
Traci
Kelley ~ Massage Therapist
After arriving at college to study graphic design, Traci
haphazardly fell in love with therapeutic arts. At the last
minute, she left MATC and moved to Dubuque, IA to pursue a
degree from Capri College of Massage Therapy. She graduated
in 2005 with honors and immediately began pursuing her career
by working in a few well-known day spas.
Although Traci’s area of expertise and favorite massages
to give are Deep Tissue, she also specializes in Swedish massages.
In addition to these two very popular techniques, she is certified
in Hot Stone Massage, Ear Candling, Reflexology, Aromatherapy,
Trigger Point Therapy & TCM
Melodi
Oray~ Massage Therapist
For the past nine years, Melodi’s
focused on Holistic Nutrition. However, after seeing all types
of people reap amazing health results and benefits from bodywork,
she decided to add the massage arts to her repertoire of the
healing skills. Melodi studied massage therapy at Blue Sky
in Madison and is currently both a state and nationally certified
massage therapist.
With her background of working with people going through dietary
and lifestyle changes, Melodi focused on neuromuscular therapy
throughout school. Therefore, her expertise centers on going
deeper to find the root of the cause muscle related problems
or injuries, making her an extremely welcome addition to our
fitness center’s clients. In addition, Melodi has undergone
intense training and certified to perform Lymphatic Massage,
Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, Hot Stone, Relaxation and Swedish Massages,
as well as the Rain Drop Technique®, Ear Candling and
Aromatherapy.
Kelly
Darby ~ Massage Therapist
Kelly’s major focus is on
the mind-body connection. She went to school at TIBIA and
is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist. She has her Master’s
degree in Social Work and used to be a counselor. Her passion
is aiding in the release of the physical and psychological
being. She has witnessed amazing transformations in people
after bodywork. Kelly was a swimmer at Madison Memorial and
understands the importance of exercise for the body and mind.
Kelly utilizes the modalities of Swedish, deep tissue, Reiki,
hot stone, trigger point, craniosacral, raindrop technique,
and aromatherapy.
Sarah
Solie ~ Massage Therapist
Sarah is a recent graduate of Lakeside
School of Massage with over 800 hours of training.
She is a Nationally certified Massage Therapist. In her massages
she incorporates Swedish massage, connective tissue and trigger
point therapy. Several years ago after suffering from a herniated
disc she became interested in massage therapy. She found the
benefits of a regular massage along with moderate exercise
on controlling chronic pain. Currently she is going through
training to become a Hospice volunteer. Yoga, hiking and cross-country
skiing are some of her favorite activities.
She looks forward to meeting and working with people in the
Mount Horeb community.
